La Tzoumaz is a popular walking destination in summer.

With over 150km of sign-posted trails, there is a wealth of fantastic walks to be had near Chalet Cathay. Canals, known locally as ‘bisses’, have been a typical feature of the local landscape and can be found all over the resort. They have been used to irrigate farmland since the 14th century but these days are popular walking routes. The Sentier des Bisses in La Tzoumaz is a particularly fine example.

Our nearest valley of note is Val de Bagnes, which encompasses the terrain of the Verbier piste map – a fine opportunity to walk around the area you skied or snowboarded on in winter!

Whether easy-going or strenuous, short or epic, and everything in between, the mesmerising scenery landscape of the Valais has something for everyone.
